“Setting the Standard for
Remote Management” |
| Speaker: |
Mr Robin Mersh, COO, DSL Forum |
Abstract
Today' broadband offerings are focused on much
more that just providing high speed. The digital
office and home have become increasing complex
with a variety of voice, video and data
applications running all at the same time.
Providers need to distinguish their service
offerings by ensuring a quality experience with
all devices and applications. In order to do
that, remote management, including
auto-detection, provisioning, trouble shooting
and personalized network optimization are key
components to customer satisfaction. We will
explore this important topic and review the
features and capabilities of the DSL Forum's
de-facto standard, Technical Report 69 (TR-069)
and the associated BroadbandHome work that is
pending.
