Abstract
There is no doubt that we are in “FTTH Years” since 2007. A number of famous worldwide carriers are investing money on FTTH deployment for their competitiveness enhancement. They are more enthusiastic, studying and trialing their Fiber-in-access strategy. Of these, GPON has seized the market momentum by promising to serve the largest number of homes over a given geographic area with the smallest number of passive spans. GPON is also the best standardized of its peers. France Telecom will use it, as well Telefonica, Telecom Italia and Telenor etc. This is in addition to Verizon, BellCanada, and AT&T. GPON is also in trials in many areas of the world, for example at British Telecom and SingTel.

ALU's GPON FTTx solution is the world leading solution. We have served most of above mentioned carriers with our solutions. We’re also having trials in Chinese carriers currently, who are considering Fibre-in-access as the dominant next step of their growth. ALU is helping all carriers “Crossing the Chasm to Mass FTTx Deployment” with our unique standardized and commercialized solutions.
